Repeat Prescriptions
- Requests for repeat prescriptions are issued at the doctors’ discretion and are normally for patients on long-term treatment.
- Requests for repeats must be made by using the repeat prescription slip (attached to your original prescription).
- Tick the box next to the item you require.
- Please allow two working days for us to process your request.
- If you wish us to post your prescription to you, please provide a stamped addressed envelope.
- Request for repeats are Monday - Friday. Due to vandalism, the surgery gates are now closed at the weekends.
- You will be asked to see a doctor or nurse from time to time to ensure that your treatment is still appropriate.
Acute Prescriptions
If you request medication that you have not had before or medication you have not had for more than 6 months, your request may take longer than 48 working hours. The doctor may contact you to discuss your request.
Boots, Tesco and Rowlands chemists in Holyhead provide a collection service; please enquire at the chemists about this service.
Please note
We do not take requests for prescriptions over the telephone. (only in very special circumstances and with the doctor’s permission) This has lead to mistakes being made - resulting in a delay: It also blocks the telephone lines.
We do not routinely ring prescriptions through to the chemist (only if the doctor has requested)
We are not a dispensing practice
